• Our Black oxide is most useful for application where the corrosion resistance and durability of stainless is necessary, but costmeticall, a black finish is needed.
• The black oxide is applied to 18-8 and A2 Stainless fasteners but can be applied to any grade of stainless or alloy.
• We black oxide and wax our plain stainless screws and nuts, which created a black satin finish
• The wax is invisible but adds a slight amount of additional corrosion resistance to the already resistant stainless steel.
• The black oxide looks very sharp and allows the customer to use stainless even though they really need to use a black fastener.
• Prior to this black oxide process becoming an off the shelf option for stainless fasteners, customers had to chose between silver stainless, or alloy steel black.
